Carpet Cleaners Fulham Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of carpet, upholstery and related cleaning services by Carpet Cleaners Fulham to residential and commercial customers. By booking or receiving any service from Carpet Cleaners Fulham, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Customer means the individual, company or organisation that books or receives services from Carpet Cleaners Fulham.

Services means carpet, rug, upholstery, curtain, mattress and related cleaning or stain treatment services, as agreed in a booking confirmation.

Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.

Technician means a member of staff, subcontractor or representative of Carpet Cleaners Fulham who delivers the Services.

Agreement means the contract between Carpet Cleaners Fulham and the Customer comprising these Terms and Conditions and any written or verbal booking confirmation.

2. Scope of Services

Carpet Cleaners Fulham provides professional cleaning services for carpets, rugs, upholstery and certain other soft furnishings. The exact scope of work for each booking, including the areas, items to be cleaned, and the cleaning methods proposed, will be agreed at the time of booking and confirmed prior to commencement of work.

All Services are subject to access, condition of items and Premises, availability of utilities such as electricity and water, and compliance with health and safety requirements. Carpet Cleaners Fulham reserves the right to decline or suspend Services if conditions at the Premises are unsafe, unsanitary, or materially different from those described at the time of booking.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings may be made by telephone, online form, or other means made available by Carpet Cleaners Fulham from time to time.

3.2 At the time of booking, the Customer must provide accurate information, including but not limited to:

the full address of the Premises;

details of the areas and items to be cleaned;

any known stains, damage, or special conditions;

parking and access information;

preferred dates and times.

3.3 Any quotation provided before inspection of the Premises is an estimate based on the information supplied by the Customer. Carpet Cleaners Fulham reserves the right to amend the price if the information provided is incorrect or incomplete, or if the condition of the items or Premises requires additional work, time or materials.

3.4 A booking is only confirmed when Carpet Cleaners Fulham has accepted the booking and, where required, the Customer has paid any applicable deposit. Carpet Cleaners Fulham may refuse a booking at its discretion.

4. Access to the Premises

4.1 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the Technician has safe and suitable access to the Premises at the agreed time. This includes arranging any necessary parking, entry codes, keys, or permissions from building managers or landlords.

4.2 Time spent gaining access to the Premises, including waiting time due to the Customer or third parties, may be chargeable at the applicable hourly rate.

4.3 If access cannot be gained within a reasonable time of arrival, Carpet Cleaners Fulham may treat the visit as a late cancellation and apply the relevant charges as set out in these Terms and Conditions.

5. Customer Obligations

5.1 The Customer must:

ensure that all areas and items to be cleaned are reasonably clear of personal belongings, small furniture, and other obstacles;

inform the Technician of any delicate fabrics, pre-existing damage, significant staining, or areas of concern before work begins;

keep children, pets, and other occupants away from work areas and equipment for safety reasons;

ensure adequate ventilation of the Premises where recommended for drying and safety.

5.2 The Customer is responsible for securing any valuables or fragile items before the Technician arrives. Carpet Cleaners Fulham accepts no liability for loss or damage to items that were not removed from work areas or were not disclosed as fragile or of particular value.

6. Pricing and Payment

6.1 All prices are stated in pounds sterling and are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise specified.

6.2 Prices may be based on rooms, areas, item type, or an hourly rate, as specified in the booking confirmation. Minimum charges may apply.

6.3 Payment is due on completion of the Services unless agreed otherwise in writing in advance. Carpet Cleaners Fulham may require a deposit or full prepayment to secure a booking.

6.4 Payment methods will be advised at the time of booking. The Customer must ensure that payment can be made promptly at the time required. Failure to pay on time may result in interest charges and recovery costs.

6.5 Where the Customer is a business or organisation with agreed credit terms, invoices are payable within the period specified on the invoice. Late payment may incur administration fees and statutory interest.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

7.1 The Customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by providing notice to Carpet Cleaners Fulham. Notice is only effective when acknowledged by Carpet Cleaners Fulham.

7.2 Cancellations or rescheduling with more than 48 hours notice before the agreed arrival time will generally not incur a fee, unless otherwise specified at the time of booking.

7.3 Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours notice may incur a partial charge to cover allocated time and administrative costs.

7.4 Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice, or failure to provide access at the agreed time, may be charged up to the full quoted amount.

7.5 Carpet Cleaners Fulham reserves the right to cancel or amend a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to staff illness, equipment failure, extreme weather, or events beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, Carpet Cleaners Fulham will offer an alternative appointment. Liability for such changes is limited to the rescheduling of the Services or a refund of any prepayments made for the affected appointment.

8. Service Standards and Limitations

8.1 Carpet Cleaners Fulham aims to deliver Services with reasonable care and skill. However, the Customer acknowledges that:

stain removal cannot be guaranteed, particularly where stains are old, set, or of a type that permanently damages fibres or dyes;

some odours and allergens may not be fully removed, especially where they have penetrated underlay, flooring or structure;

shading, wear, bleaching or pre-existing damage may remain visible after cleaning.

8.2 The Technician will use cleaning methods and products considered appropriate for the items and materials identified. The Customer must disclose any manufacturer instructions, special treatments, or prior applications that may affect cleaning, such as stain protection, home treatments or previous damage.

8.3 Drying times vary according to ventilation, temperature, humidity, and fibre type. Any drying times given are estimates only. The Customer is responsible for ensuring adequate ventilation and for taking care when walking on damp surfaces.

9. Damage and Liability

9.1 Carpet Cleaners Fulham will take reasonable care while providing the Services. In the unlikely event of accidental damage caused by the Technician, the Customer must notify Carpet Cleaners Fulham in writing as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the Services.

9.2 Where damage is properly notified and proven to have been caused by Carpet Cleaners Fulham, liability will be limited, at Carpet Cleaners Fulham's discretion, to one of the following:

repair of the damaged item or area;

replacement with a similar item of equivalent age and condition;

payment of fair compensation up to the value of the damaged item or the amount charged for the relevant Services, whichever is lower.

9.3 Carpet Cleaners Fulham shall not be liable for:

pre-existing damage, wear, discolouration or defects, including shrinkage or colour run that occurs due to inherent properties of the fabric or fibres;

damage resulting from failure by the Customer to provide accurate information or to follow advice or instructions given by the Technician;

any indirect, consequential or economic loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use, loss of enjoyment or loss of opportunity.

9.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

10. Complaints and Service Issues

10.1 If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they must contact Carpet Cleaners Fulham as soon as possible and within 48 hours of completion of the work.

10.2 The Customer must allow Carpet Cleaners Fulham a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, re-clean any areas of concern. Refusal of a revisit may limit any remedy available.

10.3 Any remedial visit or goodwill gesture does not constitute an admission of liability.

11. Health, Safety and Conduct

11.1 Carpet Cleaners Fulham will carry out the Services in accordance with applicable health and safety regulations. The Customer agrees to cooperate with any reasonable request made by the Technician in relation to safety.

11.2 The Technician may refuse to work in any area they reasonably consider unsafe or hazardous, including but not limited to areas affected by structural damage, infestation, contamination, or aggressive behaviour from occupants or visitors.

11.3 Carpet Cleaners Fulham expects Customers and occupants at the Premises to treat Technicians with respect and courtesy. Abusive, threatening or discriminatory behaviour may result in immediate termination of the visit and full charges may apply.

12. Waste Handling and Environmental Regulations

12.1 Carpet Cleaners Fulham will handle and dispose of any waste generated in the course of providing the Services in accordance with applicable environmental and waste management regulations.

12.2 Where the Services involve removal of limited quantities of waste such as extracted soiling and used consumables, Carpet Cleaners Fulham will manage this waste responsibly as part of its service processes.

12.3 The Customer remains responsible for the disposal of any bulk waste, unwanted carpets, furniture or household items unless specific arrangements for removal have been agreed in writing as an additional service.

12.4 The Customer must not request or require the Technician to dispose of waste in a manner that breaches environmental legislation or local waste regulations. Carpet Cleaners Fulham reserves the right to refuse any request that may result in unlawful or inappropriate disposal.

13. Insurance

13.1 Carpet Cleaners Fulham maintains insurance cover appropriate to its business activities, subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the relevant policies.

13.2 Provision of insurance does not extend or increase liability beyond that set out in these Terms and Conditions.

14. Force Majeure

14.1 Carpet Cleaners Fulham shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure is due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, power failures, accidents, transport disruptions, strikes, civil disturbances or public health emergencies.

14.2 In such circumstances, Carpet Cleaners Fulham may suspend or reschedule the Services without liability other than the obligation to rearrange the appointment or refund any prepayments for Services not provided.

15. Data Protection and Privacy

15.1 Carpet Cleaners Fulham may collect and process personal data necessary to manage bookings, deliver Services and handle payments and communications.

15.2 Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Information will only be used for legitimate business purposes and will not be shared with third parties except as required to deliver the Services, process payments, or comply with legal obligations.

16. Variation of Terms

16.1 Carpet Cleaners Fulham may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of booking will apply to that particular Agreement.

16.2 Continued use of the Services following any update to the Terms and Conditions constitutes acceptance of the revised terms for future bookings.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

17.1 These Terms and Conditions and any Agreement between Carpet Cleaners Fulham and the Customer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

17.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, the Services, or any Agreement between the parties.

18. Severability

18.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed deleted and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

19.1 These Terms and Conditions, together with any written or verbal booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between Carpet Cleaners Fulham and the Customer in relation to the Services and supersede any prior understandings or representations.

19.2 No waiver of any term or right under these Terms and Conditions shall be effective unless given in writing and signed by an authorised representative of Carpet Cleaners Fulham.
